How to Spend a Weekend in Portland

Portland is an amazing city. From scenic waterfalls to hand crafted coffee. Here are some top places that should be on everyone’s list.

Stumptown Coffee

1. Stumptown Coffee

You’re going to need a lot of energy on your trip, and Stumptown has you covered! I got a regular cup of hot coffee, and it was smooth, flavorful, and delicious!
Stumptown Coffee is known for traveling the globe to get you the best quality coffee beans.

2. Portland Saturday Market

We stumbled across this market while exploring downtown, and we were so glad we did! This market was filled with local venders selling art, crafts, food, pretty much anything you could think of. If you need to bring back souvenirs- this place is perfect.

3. Pip’s Doughnuts

Yes, you may hear a lot of hype about VooDoo Doughnuts and Blue Star, but Pip’s was SO GOOD. They serve them fresh, warm, and they are the perfect size. You can’t go wrong with getting one or two of each flavor. If you’re a chai fanatic like I am, they have a chai flight! I recommend the Ginger Rodgers or Heart of Gold.

4. Multonomah Falls

The drive to Multonomah is absolutely gorgeous and you get a peek of true Oregon beauty. The falls are a short drive from downtown Portland, and the incredible view does not disappoint. You can chose to hike here if you wish, or simply park your car and enjoy the main waterfall.

5. Brunch

Jam on Hawthorne is a great place for breakfast/brunch! Vegetarian/vegan friendly. They have a fun selection of mimosas- I got a lavender one. I also enjoyed their blueberry oatmeal chai pancakes.
My weekend in Portland was a weekend well spent. There is definitely a lot more to explore, and I can’t wait to go back!
