I was nervous that Ho Chi Minh, Vietnam wouldn’t have great vegetarian options, but I’m glad I was wrong! Here are a few I enjoyed during my time in Ho Chi Minh that I recommend.
*Use Google maps to find these
L’Usine has a few locations around Ho Chi Minh City, and usually has a cute boutique attached. This place gives off a cozy cafe vibe with french influences. Great place to reset from the busy city and have brunch or a snack.
This is a great place for a full vegetarian meal. They have curries, hot pots, noodles, various types of fried rice, etc. The drink menu is very extensive with smoothies, water infused drinks and lots of cocktails.
The atmosphere is serene and calm, with lots of greenery. I recommend Hum as a nice place for dinner. They have a couple locations in Ho Chi Minh, enjoy!
If you are looking for vegan Pho, look no further! A lot of the dishes here are based off of popular Vietnam dishes that are normally made with meat. To be honest, the vegan meat here looks so real, I had to look twice!
Try their spring rolls and a fresh juice too. One think I loved about Vietnam is the fresh juice everywhere. They tend to add sugar though, so I always clarify to add none.
Old Compass Cafe and Bar
This cute eco-friendly cafe was probably my favorite. It is a hidden gem, tucked away down an alley and two stories high . It’s very cosy, and a great spot to hang out and plan out the rest of your day.
They have good vegetarian options, and also do a “set lunch” where you can experience Vietnamese dishes. I recommend Old Compass Cafe for any meal, but especially when you need a coffee break.
The Workshop Coffee
The Workshop Coffee is a specialty coffee cafe, where you can get many different types of coffee, brewed any way you want.
For Vegetarian food they have pastas, salads, and lots of vegetarian bruschetta’s and soups. The wifi is strong, and there are lots of places and a separate room to sit and work while you enjoy your food/ drinks.
